Founded in 1977, ESILL is a non-profit organization offering a variety of educational programs to residents and seasonal visitors of Baldwin and Mobile Counties. We present Winter-Spring, Summer and Fall terms, with courses priced at just $4.50 per class hour. (Some courses carry additional supply fees, which are reflected in the course descriptions in the Catalogue published for each term). ESILL courses are intended for the enjoyment and self-enrichment of its students, with an emphasis on fun. There are no examinations or grades, and no credit is given. Students are asked to bring interest, enthusiasm, and willingness to participate. Simply click on the Classes link above to see what the offerings are for the upcoming term.
We are supported by The Friends of ESILL, a group made up of interested persons who believe in ESILL's mission and are willing to contribute a modest annual membership fee in the pursuit of "School for the Fun of it". Members are invited to social events and get a discount on their registration fee for any courses they take. Our programs stay vital and relevant by adding new courses and teachers. Help ESILL to serve you by sharing your ideas for new courses, and consider becoming an Instructor yourself in your chosen field of interest. Your life experience can qualify you to teach for ESILL.
